Skiing – Mt Hutt Ski Field

Mt Hutt has been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort five years running at the World Ski Awards. A true alpine experience, with wide open terrain with leg burning runs, monster snowfalls, and spectacular views. You’ve not skied in New Zealand until you’ve skied Hutt!

Mt Hutt is 26km from the village of Methven or about 90 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. It’s a scenic drive on an unsealed alpine road, please always carry chains, allow plenty of time and read our daily weather report on our website for updates on road conditions and car park capacity.
